As of January 25, 2008, we are putting a temporary moratorium on the acceptance of new applicants for the Vietnam program. If you are interested in this program we encourage you to make contact with one of our staff members so we can keep you appraised of the status of the program.
  The Children in Need of Adoption
Infant boys and girls as well as some older children are in need of adoption. We work in the Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Yen Bai Provinces with two orphanages that are supported through humanitarian funds. Most children are relinquished at birth and each child is given a physical examination when they are one month old. Each child is tested for HIV and for Hepatitis B. Although the babies are in an orphanage, the level of care is relatively good. However, the children adopted from Vietnam can be expected to have some of the typical developmental delays often associated with orphanage care.
