WHAT IS CHILDREN IN COMMON?

Children In Common is a charitable program of Adoptions Together, Inc. We continue to support those children who remain in orphanages in  Russia and Lithuania.

There are reportedly more than 700,000 children living in orphanages in Russia. The orphanages receive enough government aid to supply the children with poorly nutritious food and a minimum of clothing, but that's all. Most of the orphanages are old buildings which have fallen into disrepair. Most of them have no bathing facilities for the children who are "bathed" once a week with cold water or they are walked to the local bath house.

Children In Common solicits donations of funds and supplies for orphanages. Year around, we pack and send boxes overseas with parents traveling to adopt. We send a semi-annual shipment of at least 50 boxes of medical supplies, educational supplies and clothing to Lithuania twice a year.
